If you ever get an opportunity to hear her speak, take it. I felt understood and played with by this woman.. I can’t say better than that.

Totally agree, she was the best speaker there, absolutely amazing. Must run out and buy her book

Greetings Gerry. It’s good to hear from you, especially to hear that you were there. I’ve spoken to a lot of people who were there and they were all very enthusiastic. It was only when I spoke to my landlady at the B&B and she told me one person had walked out and one of her group of four hadn’t liked Ester, that I realised there had to be some who couldn’t take what she said. I guess it could sound threatening to some people. But I’m still dreaming about her… (not to be taken literally)

Gerry, I went to your blog and tried to post this comment. I couldn’t get past your security system. So here’s what I wanted to say there:
Gerry,
It’s good to come over to your blog to see what you’ve written about Listowel. I don’t think you and I were the only men in that room who loved every word Ester Perel spoke. Behind me there was a football crowd of women cheering her to the rafters. So I think Ester succeeded in pleasing both man and women. I can’t think of another person I’ve seen who went down equally well with men and women.
I read along with Joseph O’Connor while he was reading from Resurrection Falls. Yes, he’s a fine reader and writer. But I was intrigued to notice that he changed some of it when he read it out. I marked up my copy of the book. Perhaps Joseph, like many artists, thinks that the work is never really finished, only put down?
